A 5-month paid internship dedicated to shaping the next generation of thought leaders and change makers.

Brownthought Academy’s Marketing Bootcamp is a workforce development program from Kultivate Labs where 5 interns will have the unique opportunity to learn about digital marketing through campaigns for cultural and community-centric projects.

Program Components

  • Hands-on Experience

    Work on creative projects that you get to head and have creative freedom over! Meet with the Marketing Manager for various tasks to complete.

  • Mentorship

    Get the chance to gain mentorship from marketing, PR, and event professionals. Learn about their experiences and gain insight about their industries.

  • Education

    Participate in workshops focusing on different fields within marketing and the creative industry.

  • Collaborative Group Projects

    Work on special projects/initiatives with your fellow Brownthought Academy interns that will benefit the local SOMA Pilipinas community!

Terms & Hours

The internship runs from Monday, February 27 - Friday, July 28 (22 weeks)

All interns are expected to work around 10-15 hours per week. With the exception of recurring mandatory meetings (workshops, project meetings, etc.) that occur within business hours, interns are able to coordinate their schedules and work asynchronously.

Compensation: All interns are given a $500 monthly stipend, with option to include academic credit (must coordinate with your university’s program); 5 months total with possibility of contract extension!

Brownthought Academy is best suited for

  • Recent Graduates

    Looking to sharpen up your resume and continue to get more experience in the field you graduated in.

  • College Students

    You're an experiential learner looking to apply your skills to real-world situations or discover another perspective on marketing.

  • Career Pivoters

    After starting a creative hustle in blogging, social media content creation, event planning, etc., you want to further develop your content marketing or strategy skills.

Internship Roles

From email campaigns, social media strategy, paid advertising, event marketing, website design and maintenance, interns directly impact all Kultivate Labs programs: Kapwa Gardens, SEED Network, Balay Kreative, and Republika.

In turn, they gain key marketing skillsets as well as a knowledge of socially-conscious economic development, from San Francisco’s SoMa Pilipinas Filipino Cultural District and beyond.
